At Zendesk, we feel strongly about your data-ownership rights and give you complete access to view, edit or delete personal information at will. We know that nothing keeps you awake at night like data-security worries, which is why your information is private by default. As part of our European expansion, we are now certified by TRUSTe as compliant with European Union (EU) and Swiss Safe Harbor guidelines.
We love each one of our more than 2,500 European customers and recently established our EMEA headquarters in London, England to cope with the flattering response. Because of this growth, we filed for EU and Swiss Safe Harbor certifications to communicate publicly that we follow these guidelines. Because protecting your privacy is in our DNA, our core product was already following the requirements of this certification; we simply had to be more public about our practices.
What does this mean?
No significant changes have been made to the core product. We simply added links to our privacy policy in a few pages of the product dashboard. (Don’t worry, these links won’t be shown to your customers.)
Updated Privacy Policy
Additionally, we upgraded our privacy policy to better explain how we handle your personal information and how you can manage it within the application. These changes apply to all our customers, and are visible in our privacy policy.
