Join us on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. and help us raise money for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital through the power of karaoke.
The Lowdown:
Tickets are free, and each song will cost $1. You can also force somebody to sing a song of your choosing for $3, and they can counter by paying $5 to get out of belting out something like Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl.” Although, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to sing that song at the top of their lungs?
The Cause:
It’s going to be an incredibly fun evening. The generous folks at Maggie McGarrys, located on the corner of Grant and Green, are giving us full control of their karaoke machine for four hours, and allowing us to contribute every last dime we raise during that portion to UCSF. We want to give a very big thanks to the lovely Eileen Murphy who will be our awesome karaoke hostess for the night, and is actually donating her time to help our cause. Eileen normally works Wednesday evenings at Maggie’s, but her shift doesn’t start until 9. So she is pulling an ultra long night for us and are we ever grateful.
Zendesk has pledged to raise $1M, the proceeds of which will go to the construction of a brand new facility in Mission Bay. What we raise will cover the things that make a child’s stay as comfortable as possible, such as music, art, animal therapy and multimedia patient rooms that help students connect to their classrooms, and so much more.
Register Now!
Rumor has it that some of Zendesk’s own employees might treat everyone to renditions of 2Pac’s “California Love” or Ricky Martin’s “Living La Vida Loca,” and you know you don’t want to miss that. Tickets are running out, so make sure to RSVP for the event today!
