Help us build the best children's hospital the world's ever seen.
The last four years have been good ones to us. We’ve been fortunate enough to be on the right side of karma, and for that, we are very grateful. Now it’s time for us to give back some of that goodness that we’ve been able to enjoy.
Inspired by the charitable efforts of the Salesforce Foundation, Zendesk has pledged to raise $1 million to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital over the next year.
The new hospital is one piece of a $1.5 billion, 289-bed complex at Mission Bay that will feature three separate hospitals and be the crown jewel of the UCSF hospital network. As a consistent top 10-ranked hospital nationwide, we know it’s going to take patient care to new heights.
Our respect for UCSF, its vision, and its revolutionary medical research, combined with our admiration of the Salesforce Foundation, a major fundraising force in the building of this future hospital, makes this an ideal cause for us to support. As the name implies, the foundation is a philanthropic arm of Salesforce, a company with whom we’ve had a long and fantastic relationship and are happy to be fundraising partners with for this new and exciting challenge.
Throughout the year we’ll announce other opportunities for our employees, partners and customers to all work together in helping UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital with their mission to offer care to children and their families at what will become the most advanced children’s hospital in the world.
About the Project
UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital will provide patient-centered care, supporting the translation of medical research into clinical practice, developing the next generation of medical technology, and training caregivers of the future to advance health care worldwide. The money we raise will help support a number of programs that isn’t covered by insurance, such as rooms that can accommodate parents for overnight stays, an absolutely amazing media wall that provides a whole new level of interaction to the outside world (even the ability for students to connect to their classrooms via webcam), and so many other details that help their hospital stay to be as comfortable as possible. Without fundraising efforts such as ours, many of these things would not be available.
