Kantan Skynet
Kantan Skynet is a post-editing crowd sourcing platform which unites the power of machine translation and the human touch of post-editing, to deliver a fast translation with the authenticity that can only come from a native language speaker.
The Kantan Skynet app for Zendesk allows you to respond to your clients in your native language through the Kantan Skynet platform, where your response will recieve a machine translation and then get post-edited, from one of our many editors, in to your client's language. Once the translation is complete, the conversation will be automatically updated and your client will only be able to see your response in their language. Similarlly you are also able to translate the client messages into your native language, with the click of a button.
How to use Kantan Skynet
- Translating your response to a client's language:
- Open the ticket you want to respond to and select the response to be an Internal Note
- In order to send your response to Kantan Skynet, type #Skynet and on a new line, type your resonse.
- Once you are done, hit the Submit button as you normally would submit a ticket response. The response has now been sent to Kantan Skynet for translation.
- Translating client messages to your language:
- Click the Translate Client Messages button in Kantan Skynet app on the ticket side-bar. The client messages will been sent to the Kantan Skynet platform for translation and the ticket conversation will be updated once it is done.
To complete the installation of Kantan Skynet:
- Log in to you Kantan Skynet account on: https://app.skynet.kantanmt.com.
- Once logged in, go to Settings and then select the Users tab.
- From this page copy the API Token.
- Go back to your Zendesk page and open a ticket. You should see the Kantan Skynet app loaded in your side bar.
- Paste the API Token you copied earlier, in to the Api Token input field.
- Next, select your native language from the Language drop down menu.
- Click the Save button.
You are now ready to send your response to clients, in your native language through Kantan Skynet, where it will be translated into the client language and the conversation will be automatically updated.
If you wish to translate any client messages into your own native language, click the Translate Client Comments button, on the Kantan Skynet app. The client messages will be sent through Kantan Skynet for translation and the conversation will be updated with automatically.
