Integrating Userlike is a simple 3-step process.

  1. Register at our website http://www.userlike.com
  2. Copy-and-Paste: Copy your unique code from your dashboard and paste it into the code of your website. We offer numerous step-by-step tutorials here: http://www.userlike.com/public/tutorial/website
  3. Connect your account to an Instant Messenger Client: To receive and answer the chats you must connect Userlike to an Instant Messenger Client. We propose a number of IM clients here, as well as tutorials for the integration: http://www.userlike.com/public/tutorial/imclient
  4. Now to connect your Zendesk account. Go to the Addons section in Userlike and select the Zendesk configure option. Image1
  5. Then you can enter your Zendesk URL and your API Token, also the user based authentication via username and password is supported. Image2
  6. After the configuration process you can send offline messages to Zendesk. This will create a new ticket. Image3
  7. The same function is available for sending chat transscripts to Zendesk. You can also trigger the action from a chat session with a chat command.

How to add Userlike to your Help Center

  1. Log into your newly enabled Help Center and click on the "Customize Design" in the tool bar in the lower right. Step 1
  2. Under "Theme", click on the "Edit HTML" link to bring up the code editor. Step 2
  3. In the theme page, select the "Footer" template from the available HTML templates. This will allow for you to edit the direct code for the footer on every page. Step 3
  4. After the closing tag, add in your custom Javascript provided by SnapEngage. You can click on the "Preview" button to see the change in a draft mode of your Help Center page. Click on the green ""Save"" button to save you edits. Step 4
  5. After you click the "Save" button, you will be taken back to the editor. Click on the green "Publish changes" button to finalize the change and publish to all visitors of your new Help Center!"
