Customer service isn’’t always easy. That’’s why we launched the Customer Service Hero tour earlier this year. A series of events across the country, the tour has been a great way for people who care about customer service to meet each other and learn how to hone their powers from industry leaders.

Here are some highlights for the final leg of the tour:

Keynote: Micah Solomon
Customer service expert and author of the bestselling book, “High-Tech, High-Touch Customer Service”, Micah Solomon will share his strategies on ways to deliver exceptional high-touch customer service in a demanding world of social commerce where Twitter, smartphones, and self-service kiosks are driving customer service interactions. Attendees of the Boston and Atlanta events will receive a free copy of his book.

Measure and improve perfomance
The Zendesk Benchmark lets you compare your customer service efforts with more than 20,000 companies that are using Zendesk. Our product engagement team will discuss the Zendesk Benchmark and provide the tools and tips to improve your own customer engagement.

How Zendesk uses Zendesk
At Zendesk, one of our most invaluable tools is actually Zendesk itself; more than nine departments use it on a daily basis. Senior Director of Customer Support Pam Dodrill will share insider tips and detail how she uses Zendesk to run the support team, measure productivity, and build the support team as we grow, using Zendesk for everything from the interviewing process to onboarding new hires.

Grand finale (NYC only)
There will also be some bonus goodies at the last stop of the Customer Service Hero tour of 2012. In addition to the normal programming, there will be a grand finale! Top Zendesk trainer and author of Practical Zendesk Administration: Best practices for setting up your customer service platform, Stafford Vaughan, will be delivering a training session on the most popular features of Zendesk, including a brief introduction to the product, coverage of best practices, business processes, the new Zendesk interface, and more. Afterwards, there will be networking mixer.
