Earlier this year Zendesk made a pledge to raise $1 million for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. We were inspired by the charitable efforts of the Salesforce Foundation and decided to come up with additional programs and events that could contribute to the goal of building a world class hospital. To help raise the $1 million we’ve pledged, we’re now donating the first six months’ revenue for any Zendesk Starter-plan purchase from now until the end of 2011!
We believe that building a great product and a great company can go hand-in-hand with contributing to our local community. That’s why we’re donating the first six months of revenue from any purchase of Zendesk Starter edition to the UCSF Benioff Children’s hospital fund. So go ahead and sign up for Zendesk and feel good about donating to a great cause. But do it fast, because it ends on 12/31/11!
This idea of “causium” software, a combination of “cause marketing” and “freemium software”, was pioneered by another great Zendesk partner company, Atlassian. As two of our most important partners, we’ve worked with both Atlassian and Salesforce.com to ensure that our products integrate technically and, more importantly, our cultures mesh philosophically.
