What is scheduled maintenance?Our scheduled maintenance is usually due to internal factors such as capacity planning. We have approximately six scheduled maintenances per year. When we schedule maintenance, we post to our Announcements forum and tweet @zendeskops at least 14 days in advance. We tweet reminders as the date approaches and post an announcement in the application during the week of the maintenance so that no one is caught by surprise.
We guarantee that scheduled maintenance (up to four hours but usually shorter) will be during the weekend but we don’t guarantee a specific time. Most of the time we schedule for a Saturday from 4-6pm Pacific Time.
