How to install

Install Nexmo for Zendesk in 4 easy steps:

1. Login to Zendesk and navigate to the Manage cog and navigate to Extensions.
2. Click on Targets->Add Target->URL Target.

3. Configure target
   

   • Title: Nexmo Target
   • URL: https://rest.nexmo.com/sms/xml? with the following parameters: from=YOURCOMPANYNAME
     &to={{ticket.requester.phone}}
     &username=YOURNEXMOAPIKEY
     &password=YOURNEXMOAPISECRET
     

   When sending to the USA or Canada, the from field should be set to a long virtual number to ensure delivery, you can buy one here * Method: POST * Attribute name: text * Select create target & click submit

4. Configure Zendesk Trigger conditions and message content for SMS. Example message for trigger

   Ticket {{ticket.id}} - {{ticket.title}} has been updated. URL: {{ticket.url}} YOURCOMPANYNAME

   Try to keep your message short, to make sure it will fit in 160 characters.
