Zendesk named to Newsweek’s 2023 list of Most Responsible Companies

Publicerad 8 december 2022

Zendesk has been honored among Newsweek magazine’s 2023 Most Responsible Companies. The award is given to companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), with a focus on environmental, social and corporate governance. The list recognizes 500 U.S. companies, and we are one of only 51 companies recognised in the software and telecommunications industry.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts and contributions by Newsweek, and we remain committed to being a good corporate citizen,” said Megan Trotter VP, Social Impact at Zendesk. “For us, that means making efforts to be an environmentally sustainable company, supporting our communities worldwide, and encouraging our employees to be active global citizens.”

Recently, Zendesk has made major announcements to show how we operate as a responsible company, including:

  • 25 nonprofit organizations received a share of $US 500,000 in cash grants and free Zendesk software, through the Foundation’s first global Tech for Good Impact Awards.
  • We adopted Benevity, a workplace volunteering and giving platforms for volunteering and advocacy.
  • Zendesk will soon announce its greatest sustainability milestone in company history.

“Being recognized for our success is certainly gratifying, but we also acknowledge we must continue to be helpful to individuals, to communities, and to the planet,” said Trotter. “We will continue challenging ourselves, and will make even stronger impacts in these areas. We look forward to continued progress as we pursue our ESG commitments.”

Statista, a market and consumer data company, provided the analysis for Newsweek. Finalists were determined based on publicly available key performance indicators (KPI) including CSR and sustainability reports as well as an independent survey.
