We’re excited to share that Andee Nieto will join Zendesk as the company’s Chief People Officer in early 2022.
Andee will lead the vision for employee experience for a rapidly growing employee base, and charter the teams that will lead Zendesk’s people strategy, including talent acquisition and development, total rewards, global diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, business operations, and employee-centric process re-architecture.
“Andee is a passionate and engaged leader who can take complex issues and apply solutions that can be easily understood and clearly communicated across a global organization,” said CEO Mikkel Svane. “This is key as we keep building an inclusive and connected culture as we continue to grow.”
Nieto joins Zendesk from Xilinx, a multibillion-dollar semiconductor company, where she has held a variety of people-centered executive roles since 2013. Prior to becoming Xilinx’s Chief People Officer, she led the company’s human resources business partners team, managed human resources operations, and served as chief of staff to CEO Victor Peng. Prior to Xilinx, she worked at Cisco for 18 years in a variety of senior human resources roles.
“Zendesk has an unwavering commitment to fostering a great culture and investing in professional development for all employees,” said Nieto. “I look forward to working with the team to build upon that strong foundation, helping drive a people-centered culture that will push forward the mission to make it easier for companies to connect with their customers.”
