Today, virtually everything that used to tie us to our desktops can be done on a smartphone or tablet, from signing a sales contract to responding to customer inquiries. Increasingly, companies are allowing employees to work on their own personal devices—it’s all part of a growing bring your own device (BYOD) trend in business.
A recent poll of 1,000+ ZDNet and TechRepublic members showed 44% of organizations already permitting BYOD with another 18% expecting to allow it by the end of the year.
Our latest infographic highlights this mobile trend, showing that more than half of Zendesk customers are providing customer service via mobile devices. Nearly a quarter of those mobile users are on an iPad, and as of yesterday, they can enjoy the redesigned Zendesk for iPad app.
