With the zombie apocalypse safely behind us, we can all breathe a sigh of relief and crawl out of our respective panic rooms. Now its time to turn to the judges and see which company produced the best zombie video. Was it HootSuite, with their deus ex Michael Jackson dance routine? Or was it Zendesk, with their delicious defense against zombie take-over?
The envelope please…
John Koetsier from VentureBeat cast his vote for HootSuite. Alice Truong from Fast Company cast her vote for Zendesk. That makes it a tie. A tie! Wow. Who could have seen that coming? Obviously not us, or we wouldnt have appointed an even number of judges.
With no other options available, we turned to the viewers. In the name of good ol fashioned zombie democracy (zombocracy?), the winner would be determined by number of views.
So each side tallied our view numbers, we put the results on a piece of paper, stuffed that paper back into the original envelope, then asked for it again. And now it gives us great pleasure to announce the winner of the 2013 Zendesk/HootSuite Zombie-Off:
Of course, this whole thing was so much fun its safe to say were all winners here. Also, we lost most of our other clichés about good sportsmanship in the zombie attack, so we basically have to say that. Props, high-fives, and fancy swag will be exchanged between the two companies. The videos will be archived until next Halloween, when the zombies are sure to rise again, demanding warm brains and synchronized dance moves.
